This 2 hours course (on-site) is for students who seek an understanding to support their clients who depends on enteral feeding tubers also called Home Enteral Nutrition (HEN) and includes Nasogastric tube feeding (NGT), Gastrostomy feeding including percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy (PEG) or jejunostomy. This course also includes clients taking medication through the feeding tube in reference to a medication plan. This course aligns with NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptor for Enteral Feeding Support.
Dysphagia Support Management is for students who seek an understanding to support their clients require dysphagia support and also relies on enteral feeding. It applies to supporting a participant who is at risk of swallowing, biting or chewing difficulties. Students will also be expected to follow the correct procedure detailed in a support plan and document dysphagia support. This course aligns with NDIS High Intensity Support Skills Descriptor for Dysphagia Support.
Students are expected to complete a written and practical assessment on the day.

Completion: Student will receive a Certificate that is valid for one year.
